As a content creator, I usually combine text with audiovisual communication to reach different customer and user groups.
In my role as an audiovisual content producer, I work with image editing, vector graphics and video editing. And I create multimedia content such as PowerPoint presentations, infographics, animations, etc. I create graphic material for traditional (offline) and digital media.
Audiovisual Communication
Audio and visual elements such as images, graphics or video are used to convey a message or tell a story to one or more recipients. Audiovisual communication reaches varied customer and user groups, and can be an effective tool for creating attention, interest and engagement.
Animations
As an audiovisual content producer, when I want to create simpler animations, I prefer to use Photoshop or Premiere Pro. But I’ll get to grips with After Effects and Animate if needed. I also create animations in PowerPoint.
Testing different banner variants for my social media channels. I’ve decided to stick to one image, but tested how it would look like an animation. I had a little reunion with animated gifs and almost got a little nostalgic – it’s been a while since the last time. But I quickly remembered how to change looping from “forever” to “once”… 😉
Image Creation and Editing
Another task I perform in my role as an audiovisual content producer is to edit, retouch, and adjust images in Photoshop. And create photomontages, artistic photos and sketches. In addition, I optimize images for the web, and create simple vector graphics. When I need a more advanced vector tool, I use Illustrator.
The logo/magnifying glass on the left is made in Illustrator based on an image and “image tracing”. The icons in the middle and to the right are made with “vector mask” in Photoshop.
Presentation Design
Besides images and animations, I create graphic and visual presentation designs for PowerPoint. In addition to creating templates adapted to a graphic profile, I create new presentations and “refurbish” old ones. And creates animations and transitions. I can also create Cameo presentations, and integrate audio or video files.
Video Editing
In recent years, video editing has become an important task in my role as an audiovisual content producer. This includes putting the same multiple video clips with graphics, text, and sound. As well as adjust colors, lighting, and audio clips. And add transitions and effects. The finished video is tailored and exported in various formats to websites, social media and music videos (lyrics).
For video editing, I primarily use Premier Pro, but am considering using Premiere Rush to be able to edit and publish on the go.
When my brother released the single “Those were the times”, I made a music video (lyrics) that he could use for the launch.
It illustrates two video stories at the same time – my brother the songwriter in 2022 (on a walk with the dog) and in 1992 (singing performance at folk high school).
The music video consists of many video clips, some images, and graphics. And the lyrics are synchronized with music and vocals.
