For more than 30 years, I have worked in manufacturing, networking, and entrepreneurial companies in sales, purchasing, customer service and communications.

I have worked as a sales consultant, web editor and webmaster, among other things.

Web Editor

My work experience includes eight years as a web editor where I wrote texts for websites, blogs and newsletters. And edited photos that were adapted to different channels.

Some tasks were to write and publish articles on the intranet and external website as well as assist with articles for the internal newspaper. And maintaining and organizing content, translating shorter texts from Norwegian to English and preparing and distributing newsletters.

Another tasks was to edit and compose images, and distribute them to different media. As well as developing graphic material for newsletters, blogs and forums, among other things.

After more than 20 years of developing visual and text-based content, I have gained valuable experience in finding and communicating the good stories.

Content Manager

My work experience also includes working as an in-house resource as web editor and webmaster for Nexans Norway AS. In both roles I was responsible for the organisation, publication and maintenance of content.

With a lot of content, many content owners and different customer groups, organizing and maintaining the content was an important task that followed me in both in-house roles. Both for content on the intranet, external website, blogs, digital signage solution and multimedia archive.

The roles also involved preparing and publishing own and others’ content on the corporation’s and the department’s platforms. Parts of the content were tailored and distributed on other platforms such as Mynewsdesk, Facebook, LinkedIN and Instagram.

In the role as a webmaster I was also responsible for the maintain and administrate the communication department’s various platforms such as intranet, external websites, SharePoint, blogs and social media channels.

In addition to create new channels, the role entailed planning and adjusting the structure/navigation in line with the organisation’s changing needs.

And software updates, user access management, user support and user input. As well as planning, implementing and rolling out updates and new services.

Communications

For 19 years I worked in communications, in a relatively small department. This gave me the opportunity to contribute with other tasks – also within marketing communication.

Originally, I used Photoshop to optimize images for the web. But it evolved to include graphic design for traditional media such as advertisements, roll-ups, and fair walls.

I developed templates for PowerPoint, Outlook, Word and info screens. And I worked on creating and further developing presentations. In recent years, video editing was added to my to-do list.

During my 11 years as a webmaster, I created and arranged internal courses (in Norwegian and English) for content owners spread over six locations. It was important to assist the content owners so they could handle their content on three platforms: Intranet, external website and info screens.

Project Manager

In the course of 19 years on communication, I participated in many projects, and were also responsible for:

Implementation and rollout of new services/functionality on the Norwegian intranet and external website.

Development of an internal project model from a text-based version to an interactive solution with infographics in combination with text.

Request/offer, internal financing, installation and implementation of a joint info screen solution (digital signage) at six locations.

Afterwards, internal training and operational responsibility for the solution in cooperation with the supplier.

Customer- and Sales Consultant

Part of my roles as a web editor and webmaster in a company with 1,600 employees, was to support many different internal customers.

I assisted sales and marketing departments with marketing and external communication tasks. When the task revolved around internal communication, it was mainly people from HR, support functions and various management groups who were to be supported.

From previous positions, I have experience from sales and customer service with tasks such as order and invoice registration, telephone support of Norwegian and foreign customers, follow-up of Norwegian wholesalers and retailers, and follow-up of foreign suppliers.
