In the digital world, content such as text, image, audio or video plays a crucial role in building relationships with a defined customer or user group. To continuously create digital content is an essential task for a content marketer.
As a content creator, I develop different content such as text, image, audio, video or a combination. While in the role of content marketer, I tailor the content to a specific customer or user group.
To attract, engage and build lasting relationships, I create content the user group values as useful. The content is adapted and distributed in relevant channels to create attention, traffic to the website and trigger profitable user actions.
Content Marketing
While content strategy focuses on the overall plan and direction of the content, content marketing is all about the practical execution of the strategy. By continuously creating, editing, and promoting valuable content, the business wants to attract, engage, and build lasting relationships with a defined customer or user group.
The content is tailored to different stages of the digital customer journey, and may consist of text and audiovisual communication like articles, images, newsletters, ads, videos or social media posts.
Content marketing should also strengthen your company’s brand and drive desired and valuable actions such as online purchase, sharing an email address, or signing up for a subscription.
Trigger User Action
In a digital world, there is different content that guides customers or user groups through the different phases of the digital customer journey. As a content marketer, I want to create content which builds long-term relationships with defined user groups. And optimizing the content so it triggers desired user action.
To interact with content, a user group must actually notice it on the platform they are using. The content itself may be an image, a short video, an animation, or a banner ad. If they find the content useful, inspiring or entertaining, they may press the like, share or comment button. And thus make the content visible in their network.
Whether the content answers the user groups’ questions or assists with solutions may increases the possibility that more people will click on a link, download a document, fill out a form or make a purchase. In this phase, content may be a blog post, a video, a podcast, or a search engine ad. By continuously improving the content’s user experience, the click-through or conversion rate may also increase.
Create Traffic
When tailoring marketing content and the distribution across different channels, I also work on optimizing the content for search engines (SEO). A higher position in the search result (SERP) will improve the visibility of the content. One of my goals as a content marketer is to create more traffic to the website from relevant user groups.

As a Content Creator, my goal is to continuously create valuable and useful content for the user group, business and search engine (SEO).
I write posts, articles and newsletters for the web, online newspaper, blog and social media. And as a freelance journalist for BY Follo, I contribute in creating a local online newspaper. In addition, I give content a visual boost through image editing, vector graphics and video editing.
